Hanukkah's a very unique holiday because the days are getting shorter and shorter now. And then comes Hanukkah and it is the transition from the darkest night to when the days start getting longer. Hanukkah is the transition that I thought everything was getting so dark that the light would just go out. If we didn't have Hanukkah as the days were getting shorter and shorter we would think that the world is ending, that there is no more hope.
